Unley Council Daily Moves Program
Daily Moves is a free supportive physical activity program for adults aged 65 years and above living independently in Eastern Adelaide. Daily movement, including things like taking out the bins, can go a long way to maintaining independence, preventing frailty, managing chronic pain, keeping us socially connected, lifting our mood, along with many other benefits.
The program is available for residents in the following council areas:
- City of Burnside
- Campbelltown City Council
- City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters
- City of Prospect
- City of Unley
- Town of Walkerville.
The program involves a suite of activities which are all provided free of charge:
- Fitness assessments at regular intervals, to understand your personal strengths and limitations and to track progress
- One-one-one physical activity guidance, assistance and advice
- Health education seminars, webinars, and come and try programs and events
- Referrals and linkages to our network of Daily Moves Partners
- Online motivation and support through YouTube exercise and educational videos, sharing resources in our newsletter and access to the Go Get Fit app.
- Personalised advice and coaching
